Message from the Owner

A Letter from Debbie Kramer:

Dear Parents, Students, and Friends,

This year reinforced the new Soul2Sole Dance philosophy: “bringing out the best in every child.” From the smiling, happy faces of our pre-school students to the looks of accomplishment on the faces of our competitive dance students, I take pride in each student and gain satisfaction in their growth. When I was asked to devise a concept for a dance studio, it was very important to me that our studio teach dance while providing a nurturing, upbeat environment where students would come for constructive fun and positive reinforcement, which in turn builds self-esteem. It is this studio philosophy that determines every decision made regarding Soul2Sole Dance, Inc.

As our name suggests, everyone involved in our program puts their entire being into working with your children. I am extremely fortunate to work with a staff of talented administrators and instructors who truly possess the passion of dance and go overboard to pass their passion and knowledge of dance along to their students. The warm, caring personalities of our instructors creates this upbeat atmosphere which is conducive to learning.

Jenny Zuleger, our talented, dedicated Artistic Director is constantly working to improve the programs offered at Soul2Sole Dance, Inc. Her studio vision and organizational skills have created a quality dance curriculum for students of all ages. Our pre-school program will continue under the guidance of instructors who bring creativity and energy to all they do; and due to the talent and expertise of all Dance Company instructors and the Artistic Director of FUSION, Soul2Sole Dance Company and FUSION have become a force to be reckoned with at conventions and competitions. The talent displayed by our students and the awards and recognitions they receive makes the studio very proud.

We have taken our Dance Companies to the next level and all students who participate have really excelled in all areas of the program. Soul2Sole Dance Company provides the very best technical and performance training while also teaching valuable life lessons such as teamwork, leadership, worth ethic, commitment, responsibility and goal setting. Our company members are taught to respect, encourage, and support one another and strong friendship bonds are formed. It is this well-rounded program that sets us apart from other dance companies. This year, we are starting our Company Too! program for students who wish to dance more seriously than at a recreational level but train and compete less than our Company Elite program.

Our Buffalo Grove studio and its state-of-the-art studios has greatly enhanced the ability for instructors to teach and students to learn; our expanded class offerings for every age and every discipline has given more students the chance to learn while participating in a fun, upbeat dance program. We are extremely proud of our Boys Only Hip Hop and Breakdancing classes. The talent displayed by students taking these classes is remarkable. Starting in fall 2009, our Highland Park studio will be in a new location — with four state-of-the-art studios and many amenities you so deserve. We are improving our pre-school and kindergarten program, adding more classes and offering them daily. Another change at our Highland Park location will be the addition of more technique classes taught by new, talented and well-respected instructors. Now our Highland Park location will answer your needs as a quality program for all dance disciplines.

As parents, you know that growth is measured in steps – and Soul2Sole Dance, Inc. will continue to take the necessary steps to grow in ways beneficial to your children. The Administration and staff of Soul2Sole Dance, Inc. looks forward to future growth, many more positive changes and a warm, long-lasting relationship.
